BOYD VALLEY LAKE is a mixed coarse fishery situated at the southern edge of the Cotswolds in an area known as Golden Valley, near Bitton, Bristol, U.K. The water accommodates 12 anglers on an advance day ticket basis and is open all year round, 7 days a week from 7 o'clock in the morning until dark.
The one-and-a-half-acre lake is stocked with over 10,000 fish, including Mirror & Common Carp to double figures, Bream, Tench, Chub, Barbel and Roach. The central island is split into three, with shallow channels in between to allow optimum fish movement. The water is naturally red-coloured due to the rich ochre content of the local soil.
